COMPANY HISTORY

Linemann VSR has a long heritage in the business of specialist conveyor cleaning systems. Back in 1976, the company commenced trading as Lineman Industrial Processes and due to its success, in 1979 became known as Linemann Halflo limited, taking premises at Beoley Road, Redditch, Worcestershire. By 1982 the business had become very successful and secured a major contract with the then known CEGB. This enabled the company to relocate to Priory Mill in Studley, Warwickshire. More success with the products supplied to coal mining and power generation sectors produced the foundations of the company we have today. It’s ability to solve bulk solids material handling on a wide range of sectors including, quarrying, aggregate plants and cement manufacturing plants handling raw meal in preheater kilns operating at temperatures of 1300 degrees centigrade took the company’s success to greater heights.

By 1985 Linemann Halflo’s turnover had increased to £1 million and the company was exporting to South Africa and India as 2 principle markets in coal production. In 1988 Linemann Halflo (India) was formed to capitalise on the enormous potential for Blasters and Vibrators for the coal industry which existed in that country.

In 1992 the company moved to a rural site at Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove together with its sister company HME Logistics. The purchase of Linemann’s German competitor VSR Engineering enabled the Group to create LinemannVSR Ltd in the same year. It has remained a market leader in its field, and is now known as “LinemannVSR” a division of HME.
