Rotary airlocks, by design, have leakage. When handling abrasive products, the air leakage increases rapidly due to the wiping, sweeping or scraping action that occurs during operation. Our double dump gates have a "perpendicular" seating action that minimizes wear. Consequently we can handle abrasive products, high differential pressures and high temperatures with an absolute minimum of leakage.
The gates perform well as primary airlocks under receivers in pneumatic conveying systems and also successfully operate as feeders to negative as well as positive pressure pneumatic conveying systems. Our gates have many applications in various operations. The resilient seal design has literally no air leakage thus eliminating the "Fluidization" that occurs above a rotary air lock.
